Year Epoch

Year One
The first game year

Month One
Sunrise/set 0659/1655.

1st: The First Assembly is held. Afterwards Cristor and Brictorian are seen to be arguing as Cristor does not want send his Crew off the Ark; Vlad volunteers to take Cristor’s Crew’s patrol. The Crew sets off on its first patrol (Patrol 1) , where they find a dead mutant. Spotting a flashing light, they investigate (The Ascent). They battle giant spiders and then return.
2nd: Bricktorian names his Crew, gaining status, and benches the Crew while he loots their find. The Crew adopts the name ‘Fellowship’ and an insignia based upon the spider battle, gaining status.
3rd: The Crew runs a short patrol.
4th: The Crew runs another short patrol and encounters Rot Ants; Alex is badly wounded, and Twitch is hit by friendly fire (Interlude A). Marlotte drives an extremely hard bargain for medical supplies.
5th: The Crew takes down time to recover from wounds. Nitro and Blaze take up a ‘word of the Day’ program to refine their intellects.
8th: The Crew resumes patrolling (Patrol 2), They go to rescue one Landborn (Rex) captured by Skullucks; Kelic is killed. They also battle a direweed.
9th: Second Assembly. Bricktorion is demoted, Factions are created, the Fellowship gets two motions passed (they are long-range patrols, and to get any land transport immediately available). Motions are now required to be posted 24 hours in advance. The Vault controls all diplomacy and appoints a Security Director.
10th: The Crew tries to mend fences with Bricktorion and fail, and take downtime. Anton, the new Security Director, assigns the Fellowship to patrols of not less than ten miles and may not investigate ruins within ten miles of the Ark; the People’s Army is assigned patrols of no more than ten miles. The Iron Fists are assigned to patrol up to three miles from the Ark. Oscarti rewards the Fellowship for saving his people.
11th: Gordo determines he can have pigeons trained by the third month.
24th: The Fellowship begins a long patrol (Patrol 3), and runs into a patrol of Skulluck led by Moaners. After defeating the patrol the Fellowship tracks the patrol back to a partially-buried hotel, which they enter. They search several levels, and end up in a savage fight with Skullucks, rescuing Tuma, Borim, and Atin after they win. Now responsible for the ex-captives, the Fellowship withdrew. The ‘word a day’ program has gotten on everyone’s nerves.
25th: The rescued trio sets off, and the Fellowship returns to the Ark. They keep much of what they learned to themselves. Someone took a bowel movement in Vlad’s cabin and went through everyone’s gear.
26th: The Fellowship takes downtime and recruits Gordo and Fraser.

Month Two
Sunrise/set 0650/1724

9th: The Fellowship resumes operations. They follow the beach east and locate what they believe to be an estuary; they discover a raft with four pure strain humans aboard in very poor shape (Incident Alpha). The Crew learns some useful data from the four.
10th: While exploring Twitch is badly wounded by a Gator. Back at the Ark, the Elder passes away.
11th: The Fellowship encounter Roland, a wandering trader, get information about the area, and purchase a map. Boone trips a mine in their travels, but gets a dud. The Fellowship is attacked by blood flyers while in their night camp. Charlie accidentally stabbed Boone in the face during the fight. Back at the Ark a grand funeral is held for the Elder.
12th: While skirting the Bitter Bog the Fellowship investigates some ruins and runs afoul of Bloat flies.
13th: The Fellowship brought the four humans to within sight of Sandbarra’s smoke and sent them to safety; the Crew then forced-marched back to the Ark.
14th: The Fellowship takes down time.:
17th: The notice for the Third Assembly is posted, to be held on 2-19. Each Council member and the Security Director is required to report their Crew/Faction’s progress, and immediate plans. The only motions to be discussed are status events, the tributes to the Elder, the continuing social definitions of the People, and the re-assignment of the Iron Fists as a landing force for the People’s Navy.
19th: Third Assembly: The Vault reports their continued practice of controlling the monetary matters of the Ark; Director Grase reports that eight full-time members (under pay) of the new Ark Guard have been hired; these eight will serve as Deck Officers day-to-day, and as leaders for the militia that will comprise the bulk of the Ark Guard. Brictorian explains that the Army is conducting detailed sweeps of all areas within the immediate region so that a clear map of the area and assessments of the threats will be in hand. Gunnitt reports that the Thinkers have solved the issue of poor fishing around the Ark: fuel oil is leaking from the ship’s tanks. The Thinkers are planning to locate and pump out the fuel tanks into an unused water tank to solve the problem, the action made possible with a loan from the Vault. The recovered oil will be divided between the Thinkers and the Vault. The Auditors are working on an improved fire defense and evacuation plan. Marlotte’s Lifebringers are still seeking their solution to the fertility issues. The People’s Navy is planning to launch an expedition to the Jaw in the next few days. The Landborn are continuing to gather beasts for raising, and are surveying for fields and pastures. The motion regarding social status is to create the position of Artisan, these being skilled craftsmen who do not belong to a Crew or Faction, and the application of the term of ‘striker’ to be applied to any one is not an Artisan or a Crew/Faction member. The Iron Fists are allocated to the People’s Navy as a landing force. The Fellowship reports on three nations and their general locations, plus the general direction of a rumored town. the Vault prohibits contact with political factions without a Vault delegation being present.
30th: The Fellowship sets out to scavenge, and fall into a sinkhole which leads into ruins (Patrol Four). Twitch killed a radroach, and then both Boone and Twitch are badly wounded in a fight with a metal man. The Fellowship clears the complex, battling cave scorpions; Twitch was badly poisoned. They spend the rest of the day shifting things.

9th: The Navy drops off the Fellowship near Memory, and the Fellowship enters the town, does some shopping, and takes on a job with the City Guard to investigate local disappearances. This leads them into a buried Mall. After Twitch is poisoned by a scorpion and Louis is worn out the Fellowship makes camp for the night.
10th: The Fellowship resumes operations. In several violent clashes they deal with Moaners, scorpions, death biters, and spiders. Twitch is badly injured by spider venom, and a great deal of loot is gathered. They rescue two escapees, one a young woman, one a small boy. Information from the young woman is sketchy, but it appears that the cult of Kwon is involved with the disappearances, possibly in collusion with a tribe of Moaners. They rescue many more captives as they proceed deeper into the mall. After taking out four sentries the Fellowship ascended a elevator shaft and confront Kwon. After a savage fight the mutant lord is put down.

Month Six
Sunrise/set 0543/2000
1st: Sixth Assembly.
2nd: The Fellowship and Allie go to the Bitter Bog in pursuit of a possible treasure. Allie leads them to a ruined, half-sunken village where they encounter Mirelurks and find decent loot and a cryptic note. After a tough day fighting their way through ruins, the Fellowship starts asking questions of Allie. While quiet, the girl displayed a stubborn streak, but once they realized the limitations of her world view things settled into a sociable format. She asked them a few questions which dumbfounded the Crew: where did the Elder get 200+ healthy children, how did he raise them with minimal assistance, how was the Ark beached stern first, any why are they so orderly? Vlad in particular took it very hard when they confronted the fact that the Vault was continuing the Elder’s policy of keeping the People busy in order to keep them out of mischief.
3rd: The Fellowship finishes exploring the ruins; Vlad and Charlie are badly wounded. They head over Sandbarra for loot disposal, shop. and ask around. Flagg sets them up with Mahram, for a hit on a wanted man. The Fellowship force-marches back to Ark.

They take three Rust Devils prisoners and rescue a dozen slaves. They also capture four M-2s and Hynro’s truck.
9th: The Fellowship rest. Back at the Ark, the Landborn Scandal begins.
10th: The Fellowship brings the captives and the Rust Devils to Sanbarra, do some business, and pay Mahram his cut.
11th: The Fellowship heads to Goodson, where they arrange for future storage space for their truck and loot. They spend the night in Goodson.
12th: The Scandal ends. Oscarti was accused of secretly producing mead and wine, which, along with rotgut, was sold in Sandbarra to finance the acquisition of dray animals and fowl. While engaged in this activity she has been accused of revealing the location of the Ark. Oscarti admitted to the commercial transactions, but denied any breach of security. The telling blow came when Deven, her third in command, testified against her. Oscarti resigned from the Landborn, and with eight other former members of her Faction moved permanently to Lilac Towers. Deven was appointed the new Faction head, and renamed the Landborn The People’s Collective.
The Fellowship heads to Overpass, making the trip quickly in their truck. They cash in the bounty on Hynro the Taker, and bask in admiration. Blaze names the truck the Pork Chop Express.
13th: The Fellowship spends the day taking in the sights of Overpass. Louis and Twitch take the opportunity to do some research. Some interesting leads are developed.
14th: After securing information on lost supplies, the Fellowship remains in Overpass for research and so Charlie can custom-build a trailer.
The Auditors deduce that there are counterfeit beans in circulation. They report this to the Vault, who take mild interest.
16th: The trailer is finished.
The ‘fake bean affair’ develops quickly into a full-fledged crisis, catching the Dawn Vault off-guard. Silas quickly orders two members of the Vault to investigate, and promises to have every bean in circulation checked, and any fakes replaced from the Ark treasury.
17th: The Fellowship meets a detachment from Carlsburg’s Army, then recover their dogs and cart from Goodson.
18th: The Fellowship is identified as the source of the counterfeit money. After a tense confrontation at gunpoint occurs between an angry crowd and the Fellowship’s support staff, Silas orders militia to secure the Crew’s area until their return.
19th: The Fellowship heads into the Twisted Wood, locate Dunross, the village in question, and begin their search. They recover six canisters from a Grannock lair.
20th: The Vault reports that only a small number of invalid beans were involved, and that they were not counterfeit, merely salvage brought aboard. They reveal that the beans used as currency were taken from the ship’s casino, where they are used as low-denomination chips as a ‘promotional event’. As such the Ark’s beans were treated so that a black light would reveal that they were casino chips and not ‘free drink tokens’. All Crews are banned from bringing in beans found off the Ark, and the matter is closed.
The Fellowship recovered four more canisters, encountering Rot Ants.
21st: The Fellowship’s hunt for containers is hindered by heavy rains, so they head to Overpass, do business there, and head to Goodson.
22nd: The Fellowship returns to the Ark after paying debts in Sandbarra. They check in with Silas, and donate the M-2s.
23rd: The Fellowship shifts cargo from Goodson back to the Ark.

The Fellowship returns home, and is immediately summoned by the Vault, who send them to recover the missing People. The Crew get their tattoos removed and head out.
13th: The Fellowship goes to the Hulk, finds Mohabin’s leg in the market, and buy back the captive People.
